The folks at spray.se have published an interesting technique for fooling your Epson printer in marking an ink cartridge as full.

This method is somewhat time consuming. Luckily, a number of vendors sell Epson chip resetters. These are little electronic devices which cost about $20 and will reset the smart chip in an Epson printer cartridge to "full" in about five seconds.

- Press the right arrow button until "Reports" is displayed
- Press the OK button

- Press the down arrow twice to so that Configuration Report is displayed
- Press the OK button

On the CM1312, the configuration page does not include a page count for the printer.  To view the page count, youll have to print out a usage page.
